Rules & Regulations of Online Application for B.Ed Admission 2019-2021
- Medium of instructions: Bengali/English
- The B.Ed programme shall be of duration of two academic sessions which can be completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme.
- 50% of the seats will be reserved for Deputed teachers of classes V-XII. If required reserved seats for Deputed Teachers will be converted to Fresher Seats.
- Only female candidates(both deputed and fresher) may apply for B.Ed course.
- Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from a recognized university.
- Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (General)/ or in the Master’s Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/B.Tech in the row of Honours Degree. M.E/M.Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master’s Degree row.
- Honours Graduates in school subject should enter Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor’s degree (Honours).
- In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor’s degree (General)
- For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.
- For fresher candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on scoring.
- For Deputed candidates, merit list will be prepared based on length of service.
Eligibility:
- Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. Rules, Relaxation of 5% marks will be admissible as per Govt. rules(SC-22%, ST-6%, PWD-3%).

Admission procedure for B.Ed course (Fresher)
Admission will be on the basis of scores against marks obtained in qualifying examinations and as per norms of WBUTTEPA, Maximum Score against marks for different level of examinations will be as follows: i)Madhyamik/Equivalent Examination ii)Higher Secondary Examination iii) Graduation (General/Pass) Iv)Graduation (Honours) v)B.E./B.Tech. vi)Master’s Degree

For scoring in HS, the marks obtained in best five subjects excluding Environmental Studies will be considered
- Deputed Teachers (as per NCTE norms) form recognized Secondary & Higher Secondary School of West Bengal are eligible to apply
For Deputed Candidates
- Applicant deputed by School must submit an attested copy of M.C. resolution recording the approval of Service in regard to her service with the form.
Following additional documents are required to be submitted positively on the day of joining the B.Ed programmes in this institution:
- Release order from the Headmaster/Headmistress
- Attested copy of M.C. resolution with regards to her deputation, countersigned by D.I. of Schools (Secondary).
- Three copies of passport size photographs of the applicants.
- A certificate with the following information is to be submitted from the Secretary of Headmaster/Headmistress (where he/she is serving) and counter signed by the D.I. of schools of the District concerned.
- Certified that the School is in receipt of aid on full/deficit/lump sum grant basis or that school in unaided or salary deficit scheme one.
- Certified that she is duly approved teacher
- Certified that she is being deputed by the school for undergoing two years B.Ed courses (2019-2021)
Candidates pursuing any other course in the WBUTTEPA or any other University during 2019-2021 academic session are not eligible for admission to the B.Ed programme for the session 2019-2021 .
Admission will be made on merit basis from Madhyamik examination onwards (Scoring key attached). Opening and closing dates for online admission portal on college website are 6th June, 2019 and 17th June, 2019. First list for counselling for Deputed Candidates along with waiting list will be shown on www.iewhastings.org on 19st June, 2019. Verification of all testimonials (Deputed Candidates) along with acknowledgement slip will be made in the college before actual admission of candidates in the 1st list on 21th June, 2019. First list for counselling for Fresher Candidates along with waiting list will be shown on college website on 22nd June, 2019. Verification of all testimonials (Fresher Candidates) along with acknowledgement slip will be made in the college before actual admission of candidates in the 1st list on 25th & 26th June, 2019. Information about publication and admission of 2nd list (if vacancies arise) will be shown on the college website on 28th June, 2019. Online application of the candidates must be supported by self attested scanned copies of :-
- Marksheet for all stages of examinations passed
- Age Verification Certificate
- University Registration Certificate
- Certificate for Reserved Categories (SC,ST,PWD)
- Approval of District Inspector of Schools (for Deputed Candidates).
Application Fees - i)Rs. 150/-for General Candidate ii) Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD Candidate
Admission fees :-
- Tuition Fees - Rs.2,400/-
- Sessional and other charges – Rs. 12,000/- for entire session
- Any other charges that may be applicable from time to time may be announced later
